THE START OF A NEW RECORDING PROJECT
After the finish of his great Bach cantatas project in 2006 Ton Koopman will start a new recording project: the complete works of the composer Dieterich Buxtehude (1637-1707).
In the next five years CHALLENGE RECORDS/Antoine Marchand will present approx. 30 compact disc with the complete organ works, cembalo works and vocal works/cantatas.
It is a important desire of Ton Koopman to show that Dieterich Buxtehude was not only a predecessor of J.S. Bach but also a original genius.
