Ralph Rousseau wins Edison Audience Award!
On June 11th 2009, during the Edison-Gala in The Hague and aired live on national television, the Edison Audience Award was given to viola da gamba player Ralph Rousseau for his cd on Challenge Classics: 'Chansons d'amour'!
Rousseau was glowing with pride to receive this Award after he and his collegues of the Matangi Quartet gave a touching performance the well-known French chanson 'Cent Mille Chansons'.
The famous Dutch singer Lenny Kuhr -Ralph Rousseau will be doing a theatretour with her starting in October 2009 ánd she will be featuring on Ralph's Christmascd in the fall - handed out the Edisonstatue to Ralph during the Edison-gala.
The cd 'Chansons d'amour' of Ralph Rousseau, the Matangi Quartet and Hein Van de Geyn won this prize with an overwhelming amount of votes from the classical audience. It was on number one quite quickly and stayed there until it was clear that Ralph Rousseau was indeed the winner by far!
Congratulations are in order to Ralph Rousseau, the Matangi Quartet and bassplayer Hein Van de Geyn. But also to Bert van der Wolf, Galaxy Studio's and all the people who have made this cd possible.
