Marco Beasley nominated for Performer of the Year


Marco Beasley is nominated by the 'Vereniging van Schouwburgen en Concertgebouwdirecties (VSCD)'to win the award Performer of the Year. Other nominees are:

The jury: "Like no one else, ancient music tenor Beasley knows how to move the audience. From Downland to the Napolitian National Anthem, everything sounds natural, real and from the heart; he sings like an unschooled singer, this meant in the most positive way. His performances with Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and with the ensemble Accordone this last season show that his artistic personallity only grew over the last 20 years."
