Conductor Yutaka Sado is not only famous in Japan, but his fame is growing in tehe West as well!

The German Classical magazine Fono Forum interviewed te maestro in May 2010:

"He learned from his teacher Leonard Bernstein the eagrness for musical education and also he discoverd with him the 'coolness- factor' of Classical music. Now there is a 'foaming' recording,a feast of sound of Tschaikowky's Fifth Symphony..."

"The Japanese hear the silence, they say. And the same says Yukata Sado: "Pauses (fermate) are conducted in a different way by Japanese conductors."

"Japanese are diligent and very accurate according to Sado"

"Bernstein had the gift to GO always the core of things: the truth." (says Sado)

"And what is he going to bring to European Orchestras as a Japanese conductor? A typical Japanese skill is according to Sado to explore the music as was it a space, just like an atmosphere." Klemens Hippel
