Navarra Quartet, Ralph Rousseau & Eef van Breen at Grachtenfestival
Starting the 14th of August until the 22nd Amsterdam will be full of music like every year at the Grachtenfestival. This will be an excellent start of the (classical) music season, on 50 special locations around the city. The concert tickets are very cheap or even for free.
Of Challenge Records there will be some artists performing on this festival.
The Navarra String Quartet will release their debut-album in september (so available within a couple of weeks!) on Challenge Classics with String Quartets nos. 1-3 of composer Pëteris Vasks. This cd has become utterly touching and will astound many listeners. The depth and understanding of these four musicians of the works of this composer are very profound. Vasks himself was present at the rehearsals during the recordingsessions and they learned so much from him. In turn he was deeply touched by the way the quartet played his works.

This concert will be recorded by Concertzender and aired on a Later date.
Ralph Rousseau will start, during the new season, a very interesting childrentheater programme called 'Steen Papier Schaar'. More information about this new programme will folow Later this month!
